Richardson, TX, April 24, 2015 - The City of Richardson’s (TX) Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is pleased to announce that Red House Recording artist and accomplished songwriting instructor, Cliff Eberhardt, will lead a one day Song Writing Workshop on Friday, May 15, 2015. Cliff will focus on how to bring the melody to the lyrics.
Cliff Eberhardt is a man of many talents. He is a gifted songwriter and performer of contemporary folk, bluesy and romantic songs and has recorded nine internationally released CDs. Cliff’s songs have been recorded by the likes of Richie Havens, Shawn Colvin and Lucy Kaplanski. He wrote original music for – and performed it in – the Folger Shakespeare Theatre’s production of the “Taming of the Shrew.” Cliff also conducts songwriting workshops across the country and Wildflower! is proud to have Cliff as the instructor at the eighth annual Wildflower! Song Writing School and as a performer on the Singer Songwriter Stage on Saturday, May 16 at 6:15 pm.
The song writing workshop will be held in Richardson, Texas at the Residence Inn by Marriott. There will be a get acquainted session from 9:00 am until 10:00 am followed by the workshop until 4:00 pm. The cost is $50 per student with a maximum of 30 students. Each student in the workshop will receive one free ticket to the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. A $20 value!
For the 23rd year in a row, the City of Richardson’s Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, North Texas’ largest music event, will bring a distinctive lineup of Grammy-award winning artists that include Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Wynonna & The Big Noise, American rock legends Kansas and Everclear, and prolific singer song writers Susan Werner and Max Stalling. Other singer song writers scheduled to appear include Trout Fishing in America, Jonathan Byrd and the Pickup Cowboys, Tom Prasada-Rao and Zane Williams.
The festival will be held on May 15-17, 2015 at Richardson’s Galatyn Park Urban Center. The award-winning, multi-day eclectic arts and music festival draws local and national acts performing the best in classic rock, country, pop, alt-rock, folk and Americana as well as entertains folks of all ages with street performers, the Kids Korner, an art guitar auction and the Market Place.
