Recontextualizing the golden age of house music, Dorian Miche AKA Cherokee is at the forefront of the latest French Touch wave. Having toured worldwide, remixed the likes of Amerie, Mika, Daft Punk, CHEROKEE has been making tremendous waves in the music scene.
This year CHEROKEE presented two astounding singles, ‘Teenage Fantasy’ & ‘Dakota’, which were quickly picked up and praised by CLASH, INDIE SHUFFLE and EARMILK. CHEROKEE was complimented on his blissful House textures, eloquent sounds and funky rhythm.

As a prominent artist in the Roche Musique roster, home to the likes of Darius, FKJ and Kartell, CHEROKEE is offering up the aforementioned single, taken from his upcoming EP, via the Paris-based imprint.

Departing as a duo and continuing as a one-man act CHEROKEE is writing music with a heritage far beyond its years, with the ‘American Spirit EP’ and hit-single ‘Don’t Matter’ tracking thousands of summer-romances.

CHEROKEE draws influence from artists like Daft Punk, Sébastien Tellier and the Motor City Drum Ensemble, delivering a crossover of thumping electro and smooth French Touch. His production is clean, subtle and lives up to the production excellence expected from Roche Musique. Whilst Breakbot may be the iconic figure behind the trend, CHEROKEE is proving to be a rival for fresh, seductive beats.
His sound has stretched far and wide, performing at venues like Wanderlust, Social Club (Paris) & Output (Brooklyn) and has shared the stage with big names like Brodinski, Moon Boots, Digitalism, Dusky, to name a few. With the thousands of fans, the millions upon millions of plays and a new EP on the way, we’re entering the next chapter in the emblematic story that is French Touch, with CHEROKEE as it’s leading actor.

‘Edge’ differs from CHEROKEE’s last two releases. It still carries his signature, lively grooves however there’s a sense of deep atmosphere and space. The synths are rich and thick, flowing at a gentle pace. ‘Passion’ erupts with a chorus of vibrant synths washing the room with an euphoric feel. A trickling piano melody flutters behind adding a delicate touch.
