Ricky Fitzpatrick Releases New Inspirational CD "Beside Me All Along"

Jefferson, GA - “Beside Me All Along”, the highly anticipated Inspirational release from Singer/songwriter Ricky Fitzpatrick, goes on sale today for pre-Holiday ordering. The street date for the physical CD is not until November 1.

Timeless Gospel hymns like “Amazing Grace”, “He Lives” and “I Need Thee Every Hour” plus holiday classics like “Away In A Manger” and “O’ Holy Night” round out the latest offering from the award-winning artist, and his second release on F2 Records.

Fans will be pleased to hear Fitzpatrick’s familiar James Taylor-like vocals and finger-picked acoustic guitar on almost all the tracks. “These arrangements are a little different” he says. “I wanted to keep it simple and honor the same basic idea of all the songs, but in some cases, stretch the music just a little, to hopefully present something fresh and interesting.”

“Fans and friends have been after me for years to release a CD of Christian material” says Fitzpatrick. “But for one reason or another, I just never would.” But after some patient nudging from his wife Cretia, “Beside Me All Along” is finally coming to light.

Speaking at length about the new recording, he had this to say:

““Beside Me All Along” is a new direction for me, a change of scenery. And I hope it will be something that folks will embrace and enjoy. Many people may not know or remember that as a younger man, I seriously considered going into the ministry. Really. Either in Christian music or even as a youth minister or a pastor. But things change…people change…you know how that goes.”

“This CD is not my “answering the call” to return to that now. But it does mark a sharp and long overdue turning point for me, both musically and personally, and if you get a copy, I hope it will make a difference for you, even if only in a very small way. Simply playing these songs around our home has already made a profound difference for me, and I hope that will be evident when you listen to them.”
