After releasing her sophomore album on August 3rd, McRae’s single BREEZE has become the #1 most added on AC radio.

DENVER, CO (August 11, 2009)– After only being released for ten days, Maree McRae’s single “Breeze” off of her new album “Urgency,” had become the #1 most added in AC radio. Among McRae in the top 5 were artists such as Brian Wilson, Michael Franti, and Uncle Kracker. Having worked as lead singer and multi-instrumentalist for one of Rocky Mountain’s most sought after acts Cadillac Ranch, singer/songwriter Maree McRae took a solo creative venture and released her successful debut project “I Won't Settle for Less.” Now, with “Breeze,” the first single off her newly released album gaining noteworthy success, McRae’s sophomore project “Urgency” is gaining quick momentum by the day.



When asked about her single going #1, Maree replied, “I am thrilled to be back with this wonderful new single for the Adult Contemporary market and have it so warmly embraced. ‘Breeze’ is such a serene, smooth flowing song. Sometimes you write and you have to work really hard to make the song work, this one just happened to flow right through me and I never changed a thing on it. Everyone says how warm the song makes them feel and how addicting the feel of it is.”
 


Although McRae’s sound is primarily in the adult contemporary genre, with 12 original tracks, “Urgency” maintains the truthful resonance that mirrors a variety of styles from folk rock to country. She self-composed all the tracks, and the album is filled with her trademark melodies and lyrics from the soul. The variety of moving styles and songs proves that “Urgency” is McRae’s most noteworthy collection to date.
