FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“VANITY FAIR” AWARDS IRISH-SISTER-POP-ACT, SIROCCO, COVETED MUSIC SPOT FOR OSCARS AFTER-PARTY VIDEO

April 3rd 2009 - Sirocco, a three-part, sister pop act from Ireland, not long after landing in Hollywood, have nabbed the top music spot as the featured song to the annual Oscars Vanity Fair After Party Video aired on the American Magazine's website www.vanityfair.com .
Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar after-party is the single, biggest star studded event in Los Angeles every year. Unless you’re an A-list celeb your chances of getting inside and rubbing shoulders with all your favorite actors and actresses is highly unlikely. Vanity Fair takes the liberty of filming all the behind the scenes action and shenanigans and airing them on its website for fans and public alike to see.
This Year, much to the delight of three young Irish sisters, Vanity Fair used Sirocco’s song “Life of the Party” as the featured song on the VF Oscar video, giving this unknown Irish group the kind of exposure an up and coming artist only prays or pays for.
“This is a huge opportunity for any new artist, especially one that is unsigned” says Fiona (22) the eldest member of Sirocco. “We feel honored and grateful that Vanity Fair chose our song and featured it on this video. It’s the biggest party in the world, and we are so excited to be associated with it.”
Sirocco hails from a small village Causeway in County Kerry Ireland and for the past seven years, the three sisters have dedicated their lives to “making it” in the music industry. From performing on stage with huge European acts like Westlife and Girls Aloud to being invited to perform for the former New York Governor George Pataki and Senator Hilary Clinton in New York to now having a huge name like Vanity Fair support their music and feature it in association with a top class entertainment event like the Oscars, these sisters really are getting the chance to “do it for themselves” in a satiated music industry where it is becoming increasingly more difficult to gain notoriety.
