Angels and Kings presents: End of Fashion Week indieROCK THROWDOWN
Celebrating Bailey Park Records artist Ian McGlynn’s “This Is The Sound” OFFICIAL Album Release Party with performances by Allie Moss and Darling Cait
February 18, 2009, New York City—Bailey Park Records’ indie pop/rock piano man, Ian McGlynn has partnered up with fellow music loving NJ natives of a similar name. Angels & Kings’ owners Dennis and Bob McLynn will present the independent artist’s Official Album Release Party at their venue this Friday, February 20, 2009. Doors at 7pm, complimentary sponsored Whiskey will be served until 11pm with Willie Nelson’s Bourbon and Ardbeg Scotch. The event is by RSVP only (RSVP to info@ianmcglynn.com) and will be attended by Crush Management, Ian’s loyal fanbase, celebrities, fashionistas, fellow independent artists and indie rock critics.
Ian McGlynn will be performing original songs from his new album “This Is The Sound” which he describes as “organic, cinematic and catchy” and full of warmth, waltz and his patented soaring chorus. He will perform new singles “Memorial Day Parade” old favorites “How Did I Get Here” and the album’s title track, “This Is The Sound” which has boldly gotten the attention of music writers and fans alike who have accepted the invitation determining for themselves- that indeed, this is the sound.
Joining Ian will be co-producer John Mosloskie (Holler, Wild Rose!), Dave Macarone (Shy Talkers), and Johnny Natelli (ex-Swiss Auto Club). Special performances fill out the evening with old friend Allie Moss (best known for singing alongside Ingrid Michaelson), and partner-in-crime Caitlin “Darling Cait” Monahan, (indie music/fashion darling) who will be performing with her band of boys playing toys. Look for their respective debut albums this spring.
CD Gift bags chock full of goodies are sponsored by executive film producers Bob and Maggie Hariri with Jet-A Aviation, whose films have featured Ian's songs, including the independent release "Off The Black" starring Nick Nolte/Timothy Hutton and the Meg Ryan/Antonio Banderas feature "My Mom's New Boyfriend". Ian’s music has also appeared in the extreme ski flick "One" by Colin Farrell.
