Bands Reach 10,000 Students with Freshers Promotions

London based Freshers Promotions is once again providing their clever service for independent labels and artists to reach masses of new potential fans and music lovers.

Following the huge success of last year’s CD, Freshers Promotions are manufacturing and distributing 10,000 copies of the ‘Freshers Cuts: Volume 2’ compilation CD, featuring 20 new independent artists, to university students in the UK during Freshers week. The package also includes permanent inclusion on the Freshers Promotions website and Podcast series.

Platinum songwriter and producer OD Hunte started Freshers Promotions citing “the difference between success and failure in the music industry is promotion, not necessarily talent. Freshers Promotions is about giving independent labels and artists a genuine chance to get their music into the hands of people who will appreciate it, pay attention, tell their friends about it and ultimately buy it. We had great feedback last year and this year we’re getting even more support from the universities.”

The 2008 distribution of the CDs will be spread right across UK universities including: Bangor, Bath Spa, Colchester, Dundee, Falmouth, Glasgow Caledonian, Strathclyde and Wolverhampton.

Labels and bands ready for promotion should get in touch quickly as the closing date for inclusion on the project is Friday 22nd August 2008.
