DigiFestival.net Final Event 2007 in partnership with Festival della Creatività opens its doors on October 25th at the Fortezza da Basso of Florence in the space of Padiglione Ghiaia at 03:30 p.m. with a four days full program of guests, conferences, news and performances to descover the world of arts and multimedia communication.
DigiFestival.net Final Event in partnership with Festival della Creatività will start on Thursday, Ocotber 25th 2007 at the Fortezza da Basso (Padiglione Ghiaia) at 03:30 p.m. with the conference of the Audioglobe representatives M. Ragnini and G. Giustini titled “The changes in communication for promotion and distribution of musical products through the networks in the market of the future” while at 05:00 p.m. the floor will be given to the DigiChannel.net members introducing the subject “The developments of the new communication media and the expansion of the digital networks for the promotion and distribution of art and culture”.
Together with the scheduled conferences and performances the Multimedia Movie Space of the Padiglione Ghiaia will host a selection of videos participating to the DigiFestival.net 2007 edition, and some screenings not in contest, among which "Tracks of Color" by Federico Castelluccio, produced by Gianna Palminteri scheduled for Thrusday, October 25th from 08:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Friday, October 26th from 03:00 p.m. to 06:00 p.m. and Sunday October 28th from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 a.m.
The DigiFestival.net Final Event 2007 will also host an important initiative to enhance art among young people: the “GET OUT!” project by Roberto Quagliano (among the Saturday afternoon guests). This initiative will be presented during the Final Event through three films out of contest: “Get out, Rega!” (Thurdsday October 26th from 03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.), “Mohammed, vieni qua a fare un Film!” (Friday October 26th from 06:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and “Come sono? Boh?” (Sunday October 28th from 12:00 a.m. To 02:00 p.m.).
According to the importance of networking in the world of arts the stage of Padiglione Ghiaia will host two important conferences in English on Friday, October 26th. During the first one (03:00 p.m.) Roli Mosimann will talk about “Musical content productions for the new distribution networks”, while during the second one at 05:00 p.m. Christopher Cooke will introduce the subject “The festivals as menas of communication. The meeting between festivals and the new technologies”. The evening will end with the video/photo performance “Away?” of the young Florentine artist Emanuele Baciocchi.
Indeed the most important moment of the DigiFestival.net Final Event 2007 will start on Saturday October 27th with the meeting between audience, press-agents and DigiFestival.net 2007 winners starting at 03:00 p.m.: Michael Attardi and Danny Donadi, rispectively director and producer of the animation “Once Upon a Christmas Village” dubbed by Tim Curry, James Belushi and Amanda Davis (taking part to the meeting) in contest for the next Academy Awards, will be present on the stage of the Padiglione Ghiaia together with the DigiFestival.net 2007 winners as Raistalla, already well-known for her performances next to Madonna, Amanda Baker, one of the most interesting Australian singers, Patrice Fivat, winner of the DigiFestival.net 2007 Sport category, Peter Volkart, winner of the Movies category with the film “Terra Incognita”, Cinzia Sarto, winner of the Video Art category with “Una Sporca Vacanza”, Enrique Garcia amd Raquel Ajofrin, winner of the Animation category with “Perpetuum Mobile” inspired to Florence. It will be possible to view the DigiFestival.net 2007 awarded videos from 05:00 p.m. on thanks to the screenings taking place in the multimedia cinema of the Padiglione Ghiaia.
At 10:00 p.m. the DigiFestival.net 2007 Awards Ceremony will take place inside the Padiglione Ghiaia and then move to the Teatrino Lorenese at 11:30 p.m. for the video art/music performance of the New York band Bohagey Bowes and the music concert of the Italian rock band The Mirrors. Also Amanda Baker, DigiFestiaval.net 2007 Music winner will be on stage for a solo performance.
Sunday October 28th the Padiglione Ghiaia will host the artistic workshop by Silvano Mezzatesta (Scuola Internazionale di Comics and Accademia delle Arti Figurative e Digitali) about “Animartion Techniques” to discover the most practical aspects of the world of comics.
