Hip Hop Artist and Music Producer Robin Mays Pushes Back Her Debut Album Release

Atlanta hip hop artist and music producer, Robin Mays, pushes back her debut album release after changing title to “Audio Dope”. Her label Audioscope Recordings is also preparing to release her debut single “Dope Boy Gurl” to radio next week.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (Billboard Publicity Wire) October 1, 2007-- Atlanta hip hop artist and producer Robin Mays has announced that the release of her debut album, newly entitled “Audio Dope”, has been pushed back for more promotions. Her label, Audioscope Recordings, is proceeding with the release of her debut single “Dope Boy Gurl” next week.

There has been a lot of news buzzing around Robin Mays' debut album. Previously entitled “Element114: A social experiment”, her album was re-entitled to “Audio Dope” as part of Audioscope Recordings new marketing campaign. A representative from her label stated that “we are working very hard on Robin's project and it is very important that we do this right the first time. We are not in the business of double dipping.”

Robin Mays also issued a statement saying “I want to give people what they really want, a dope album. I believe in my marketing department and I agree with there decisions 100%”.

The news of the delay in the release of her album also comes with news of her debut single “Dope Boy Gurl” going to radio next week. “I think this song will become an anthem of sorts for young women around the world. Once you get past the title, you'll soon realize it's a song about empowerment. “

Robin Mays is also featured in Chronic Magazine this month. In her interview, she gives a lot of insight on what to expect on her upcoming album “Audio Dope”. ( This interview was done before her album title was changed).
