Cloud Cult: They’re going to rock you Green –
Sun. Sept 9 at GreenFest Philly
Cloud Cult, the band that will make you want to go green, heads out on tour next month and are stopping by Philadelphia to headline the MusEcology Concert for GreenFest Philly, the huge free eco street festival held on Sun., Sept. 9.
This independent band based in Minneapolis with a self-created record label, Earthology Records, has been hitting the top 10 of radio charts in over 100 U.S. cities in the past two years.
While traveling on their previous tour to support their most recent album, The Meaning of 8, the band has been planting ten trees for every 1,000 records sold. The CD’s are being made from hand-cleaned reused jewel cases with recycled cardboard and paper. Their tour van even has solar panels.
They’re hot and they’re green. In fact, everything in Cloud Cult’s online store are made with organic and/or recycled materials. The making of the items are manufactured using electricity from a wind power source. All their energy is provided from purchasing green energy credits to pump that power into the grid for use on stage and in travel.
They have planted a seed in the music industry and now they’re growing and sprouting beautifully to give back to the environment.
Cloud Cult makes great music, they’re hot, they’re green, and they’re coming to GreenFest Philly. Some 10,000 people are expected to join the fun and save the planet.
“Party like there IS a tomorrow!” is the event slogan.
GreenFest Philly – Sun. Sept. 9, 11 am to 6 pm, on South Street between the 7th and 11th streets. Save the planet! Save money! Save the date!
