CD REVIEW: The Naked Songwriters - Bare Emotions
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT
Artist: The Naked Songwriters
Genre: Pop
CD Review:
The very last thing I expected after looking at the cd cover (the nude, uncaring David standing there, naked as hell, with the top of a sitting guitar covering his naughty bits) was to hear the mainstream pop within. That's what you get! 9 songs, mostly ballads, of a smooth quality to touch you, heart and soul. Starts with the cool romance between 2 swooning singers in 'Forever Is'. Then 'Together' has the beat and keyboard music of the 80s. The sort of Amy Grant voice full of hope and beauty paints a supple picture of love and need. Next up, 'All In A Day's Love' will take care of the soul listeners on your list. Soft jazz, lots of vocals, it's great against hypertension, I can tell you. This is an album free for download completely at mp3.com for lovers, those wanting to be in love, those once in love long ago. These Naked Songwriters are also nearing the big time. They've got stuff on tons of mp3.com listening stations, even in some of the top 40 played stations. I think you'll understand why once you've clamped ears on the pop seduction herein.
