CD REVIEW: Angie Paris
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Angie Paris
Genre: Pop/Rock
CD Review:
Alanis is alive and moving her voice into other women. Angie Paris proves this expertly in 'Never Ceases', one of the hits on her current album which seems to be getting lots of airplay as well as this song being picked as 'song of the day' on mp3.com, which is a difficult feat. You have to admire that. You have to listen to the song too to understand. The album itself is too good to be indie. The production quality is Big Boys and could storm the charts if it had enough of a push. I quite like it. Wish it were more than 41 minutes, but. 'Beyond the Walls' is another tune that is not only a pleasant listen, but gives me hope that this decade will see us breaking out of the folk-backed indie that took up so much of the 90s.
