NLT, the Texas based boy band that is reminiscent of N’Sync and the Backstreet Boys, claims that they are not like them (hence NLT) in their group name, and they may be right. Backed by Chris Stokes, management ingénue of B2K and his cousin/singer/actor Marques Houston, they have a formidable reservoir of industry knowledge and performance experience to draw upon. The first single from their forthcoming debut CD is characterized by soulful vocals and tight harmonies which indicate that NLT doesn’t pick up where N’Sync left off, but that they courageously venture into another direction with an aggressive, edgier Pop/R&B sound that benefits from its radio-friendly production, contagious chorus and meaty dance groove.
