CD REVIEW: Marcia Guderian Trio - Full Moon

Artist: The Marcia Guderian Trio Genre: Folk CD Review: Grab yourself some of Abbott and Costello's early films the ones with the songs before listening to this cd. Ride 'Em Cowboy is a good one, because Marcia and crew are often a beat away from early folk, sometimes with a touch of white jive in there. 'Ride Johnny Ride' is the best sample of this, with all vocals (as well as songwriting credit) done by Marcia. Playing is good, but simple. Simple is the key here. If you listen to Extreme and Queen, you will be totally turned off. If you believe that guts and old-fashioned shoes get you where you need to be, you will appreciate what goes on here. Lots of guest artists, so each song isn't the same. This is an out of place/time trio in a world of rockers and sex appeal country music. I hope they find their niche with the old time radio crowd. Sincerely.
