CD REVIEW: Mann Wolf - Unlatched
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Mann Wolf
Genre: Pop
CD Review:
There's a man showing an inch of butt crack on the back of the jewel case, so perhaps Unlatched refers to best hits of the bathroom? In any case, Mann's got a voice slightly odd and different, grows on you quickly like that green cheese he sings of. The music is pop, slightly alternative, but more accessible than not. 'Bluer Skies' is a good example of what to expect: the contra-alto-ish double vocals, electric clicks from the e-guitar, and a rhythm from the acoustic, drums you forget are there, etc fun. Most everything was performed, penned and edited by Mann, therefore he admits, "Damn, I'm tired."
