CD Review:
She is a singer, actress, composer and voice trainer. And you can tell it when you listen to her cd! She’s from Cincinnati, Ohio, and as often happens with the best she grew up surrounded by music.
Ms Fleming has a long career already, she has toured the world and has sung in venues ranging from humble churches to Madison Square Garden. She has a long list of television and film credits and she has been also performing in Broadway.
All this said let’s move on to her album. It is difficult to talk about her album, her songs, her music because when her voice starts coming out of the cd player it hits you like a tornado. She sings gospel music with such a high level of interpretation that she is a real inspiration even for the non Christian audience. You feel taken away to this beautiful world made of notes and positive lyrics.
When she sings ballads, like the delicate “Redeemed”, she lifts you up with her voice that she can use with real mastery. She is vocally gifted and can use her low register so well that it gets really moving.
Another great quality is the energy that she sends when singing. It is impossible to stand still, as soon as the cd started my feet started as well and I even tried to sing some lines.
The songs are all good and in a perfect gospel fell good style, but I would like to mention “Hear my voice” and “Blessed be your name” that have a very special vibe.
Gospel music at its best, there is not much more to say. Let’s hope to hear more from this wonderful singer.
