CD Review:
Sarah is a force of nature. What once started as a Beauty of the Opera has now blossomed into almost a cult-like revolution of pop/new age/theatre/easy listening amazement. I'll admit this is the first full length I've heard of hers, and I was instantly blown away. First of all, the production is epic and probably exceptionally expensive to produce; AND I LOVE IT!!! Orchestral work, the latest sounds, all of it blends together to make Ms. Brightman the reigning champ of Pretty Music. She glides from the hip dance fashion of 'Winter In July' to a sort of spacious, mega-produced 'Scarborough Fair', with infinitely greater ease than one would expect. The only way to describe such pop-theatrical elegance would be to say: watch a few magic specials on the Family Channel, and then if you'd like to hear that sound Sound better, buy this hour long cd, and watch out. You'll be an instant fan. The loveliness of the voice insinuates its passage into any style, every soft nook; every chair in your home will soon become plush as the voyage between opera and the dark New world glides into secrecy here. Every word a whisper, every emotion a dual-purpose: the romantic, the relaxing. This woman is tops.
