Hi there. Ben Ohmart here, welcoming you to my little page of reviews, advice and etc. I enjoy listening to new music, because I find it a refreshing change from the music I SHOULD be listening to - so the suits say. When I hear something on the radio, I know it's already been through the corp. wash and it doesn't need a listen. It'll get plenty of airplay. So I'd rather turn my attention to people who Need to be heard, and to music that I may never find in the stores.
I like reviewing, it allows me to taste the foods that just don't grow around here. Plus, I like helping people out. If people are kind enough to pitch their music my way, the Least I can do is spread the word. And there is good in every one, every production. A person may not like a specific genre, but if you can't find something to sing about in every cd, you're just not looking. Look at the self-produced man before the Epic and Sony cds. Help a dream along, and have some fun.
