Artist: Band: Brown 25 Lunar Modular Unit CD Review: This/these Brown 25 person/people are technically advanced. When first hearing Bowie's Outside, I was impressed with the weirdness, but even a Bowie/Eno combo is hard-pressed to top some of the electro-ahem that comes out of this 50+ minute cd. The vocals are a bit alternative, but the mixture of odd instruments and sounds is scientific, proving if you don't move forward in music you are staying behind. Even the 'lesser' songs like 'Gotherific' can't be sneezed at, in what they're trying to achieve. Possible hits could be 'Delirium Tremens' with words of 'dropkickin' the demons from the dna if I wanted to wake up, wanted to wake up with their three-ring binders crammed full of the good ol' days if I wanted to wake up, wanted to wake up just rot and fester in my flypaper'. Sounds like the next generation is getting set to take over. It's about the finest example of experimental making it as pop I've ever heard.
