CD REVIEW: Eric Alexandrakis - I.V. Catatonia

Artist: Eric Alexandrakis Genre: Experimental CD Review: Eric is a professional frightener. If his front cd pictures of demonic surgeons and blurry hearts isn't enough to make you wonder, the 70 minutes herein will at times have you biting nails and the bullet. The damn thing is split up into Treatments 1-6 and Treatments 7-12 but sound more like the inner erratic madness of the mind which has no business being recorded. Yes, I'm talking experimental music, with the odd (literally meant) tune thrown in here and thereabouts. 'The Bells of Irony' is one such patient, a ghostly piano, a weird, loud voice that seems to still be stuck in the catscan. Loops of loopy nurses telling you to take your vitamins, a month's supply of effects and echoes and an early Halloween's soundtrack, and you're nearly prepared for Eric's pump of stuff.
