Introduction: What is The Muse's Muse?

The Muse's Muse is devoted to discussion and information having to do with the craft of songwriting.  Founded in 1995, it contains musician classifieds and spotlights, busy message boards, music-related links and resources, songwriting association listings, music reviewsarticles, interviews, a free monthly newsletter and a great deal more.

Since its inception, The Muse's Muse has received glowing reviews from mainstream publications (Billboard Magazine, Keyboard Magazine, The Music Connection, American Songwriter Magazine, NetGuide Live, Web Guide Magazine & The Wall Street Journal) and respected net sources (Suite 101 Top 5, Cool Site of the Day (three times!), Fiercely Useful Site of the Week) but it is the reviews of the songwriters themselves that mean the most to creator & webmaster, Jodi Krangle.

I love receiving The Muse's News and look forward to it every month.  The Muse's Muse is such an inspiration to me, that it has become a part of my everyday.  I am so grateful for this high quality site which offers a safe haven for creative expression.  I was thrilled to discover that I could order Muse's Muse merchandise and now own a Muse's Muse 2011 Calendar (which I have peppered with song/lyric contest deadlines) and a Muse's Muse tote bag to keep all my current projects in!  Thank you so much Jodi, for all that you - The Muse's Muse, and The Muse's News - have allowed me to achieve.
-- Tracy-Ann Edridge, Brisbane, Australia, December 7, 2010

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for The Muse's News issues every month.  They have been so helpful to me and my writing and as you can see, I am a category winner at NSS.  This win has renewed my confidence in writing and I just wanted to give you a big thank you for putting in some great reviews and songwriting tips in your issues."

Sincerely, Sherry Rich, April 3, 2008

"Muse's Muse has been a wonderful source of referrals for the Great Lakes Songwriting Contest. In our four years of operating, we've had more click throughs from Muse's Muse than any other source. What's more, we all look forward to each month's Muse's News for its great reviews and insights on songwriting. It's the one of the best songwriters' resources on the web!"
-- Cindy Felton, contest coordinator, The Great Lakes Songwriting Contest, September 19, 2006

"By advertising on Muse's Muse, we were able to dramatically increase the traffic on the Cool Midget site (http://www.coolmidget.com/). In fact, Muse's Muse has sent us more visitors than the various search engines combined. Suffice it to say that, at least for the foreseeable future, we'll definitely be working a Muse's Muse ad into our budget."
-- John Amen, Cool Midget Records, June 14, 2005

"Everywhere I go on the internet, I run into links to your site. Most of them say something like "this is THE BEST" site of its' kind". You have done a tremendous job of getting the word out there -- and you are helping to encourage songwriters all over the world. Thank you for your hard work. I hope that it is contributing to your happiness and your success in your career."
-- Sarah Mor, April 17, 1999

"Just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your site. Looks like a labor of love. I can relate to that... I don't manage to be able to spend a lot of time online but you're a favorite spot."
-- John Braheny, Author The Craft and Business of Songwriting
Co-founder The Los Angeles Songwriter's Showcase, August 12, 1997

The site is in constant development with new resources, links, articles, organizations and features being added almost every day.   With the help of the growing population of songwriters on the net, The Muse's Muse has become its own songwriting community in cyberspace also offering popular message boards, classifieds and the ability for artists and their promoters to submit press releases for free.  As the number of songwriters finding an outlet in the world wide web grows, The Muse's Muse continues to provide a complete and unique resource and forum for songwriters in all career stages.

In the 2002 Just Plain Folks Member Survey, (almost 2000 Just Plain Folks members were surveyed) The Muse's News Songwriting Newsletter was the only email-based newsletter mentioned in the category of "Favorite Magazines or Newsletters" - along with such popular company as Music Connection, Performing Songwriter and Sing Out! and was voted more popular with their members than Keyboard & Dirty Linen.

In the same survey, The Muse's Muse website was voted #4 in the category of "Favorite Music Related Websites" in such company as MP3.com, CDBaby.org & Harmony-Central.com and more popular with their members than Amazon.com, Tonos.com and Billboard.com .

Why Advertise Here?

The Muse's Muse provides a unique forum for advertisers with products & services geared towards songwriters and independent musicians.   The site receives almost 1.25 million page views per month and sees around 300,000 unique visits in that same time period (with those numbers growing all the time). This is a living, breathing community where visitors have come to trust the content provided and I'm very picky about the advertisers I choose to place on the site. Because of this choosiness, your banner or button will not be ignored - it will be treated as part of the overall content. That means better click through rates for you, and more chances to put your message before an interested audience.

"I was skeptical at first, but the Muse's Muse listings are an effective and measureable way of attracting web visitors. I had a record month during the first month that I listed with the Muse's Muse. If you're a longtime fan of the site, how can you resist supporting them with a listing relating to your first album?"
