Songwriting Organizations |
|
We all need a little encouragement. These organizations are places where you can get advice about songwriting from knowledgable people in your own area, and a place where you can get genuine and constructive feedback on your work.
WARNING: Some of these organizations require yearly membership fees and/or professional credits. Contact them. Ask them what their organization is all about and what their goals are. Including a SASE so that they can send you an application form and their requirements for membership, is a good idea.
It might be useful to consider starting a local songwriting circle of your own to get together with others in your own community that are also interested in sharing their songs. You'd be amazed at what can be accomplished when a group of like-minded people get together. ;) If you already have such an organization and would like it listed here so that people can contact you, feel free to write me e-mail. I'll gladly put your address up as well.
Organization listings are arranged by Genre. General simply means that an organization will accept members who write all different kinds of music rather than one specific type.
[GENERAL] [JAZZ] [POP] [GOSPEL]
