Ric: yeah, album track for sure. You need those too, don't you!? :-) Thank you for you encouraging (hope I got that right) words! I'm not much of a piano player, though, getting better maybe, but far from great. This was recorded "live" with me singing and playing at the same time, which I find a little harder. It'll be a better piano part when I record just the piano and can foucs only on that. Cheers!

Yes encouragement for sure! :) It's a cool option to be able to multitrack like with today's softwares. So please keep up the good work there!

At first I thought the drums didn't fit the song, but later on I thought they did, though I was of opinion you should apply variation. You've got a great voice and great lyrics as well. I really enjoyed this.

Thanks. Percussion is always an issue for me :)

Pretty cool, Ric! For me, the music and spacey lyric really brings to mind The Doors. The vocals even sound like they're in the Jim Morrison ballpark. Thank god there's no organ though. :) Anyway, because of the way it sounds to me, I put this comfortably in the retro-genre of psychedelic rock . . . and, I dig it!

    Hi David,

Wish i had the vocal chords of a JDM but there you go ;) I always appreciated the way the Doors crossed jazz with rock, Robby Krieger was and is a brilliant guitarist - so inventive & rock-bluesy both at the same time :) But i wasn't thinking about the Doors when I wrote it, it just sort of became more electric-jazz as it progressed. Many thanks -

Nice song, sounds like an album track to me, what we used to call an "LP track", something not overtly commercial that you can take your time over listening to. Love to hear this when it has been arranged. You gotta try a grand piano synth on this? or a real grand - it would sound ace, plenty of sustain pedal ;) Massive room for strings if you wanted them, you could really go to town on a song like this. Thanks for sharing, I do so admire anyone who can tinkle the ivories, piano keyboards are cool! B)

Man, you should be on the road getting famous! Brilliant C&W / Eagles type vibe, excellently performed & produced. Great job & well done there! :)
