About Me
i enjoy writing and recording songs and I live in Dallas
GEAR!
I always wonder what other musicians record with so I'll make my page like I'd want to see and discuss gear. Since you're listening to others songs anyway, it's an opportunity to audition their gear as well, since 99.999% of the time we have no idea what's recorded with what (or what that gear sounds like to begin with). Especially on an amateur level. Most of the gear below represents very affordable equipment for the average Joe, however took years of acquiring. The Keeley stuff is great but I usually only record with the compressor and where needed, the Keeley modded Metal Zone (beefy!). They're really meant for tube driven amps. Especially the TS-9 and Blues Driver
What I usually record with
Fender MIJ 57 reissue strat (jeff beck hot noiseless neck, texas special middle, SR-1 bridge)
Taylor 414ce acoustic
Takamine 12-string EG523SC12

Behringer Bass Vamp amp sim processor
Amps
Fender Hod Rod Deluxe with Texas Heat 12" speaker, JJ Tesla tubes
VOX VR15
(ideally I'd love a Vox ac30 with celestion blues for chimey cleans but a number of amps would do for dirty. Mesa, Marshall, Bugera, etc. Truth is for recording I often just use the line6 and pedals direct. Sounds fine. I break out the amps when I need something extra or specific, otherwise they're for live use only)
Misc
Red Tortex picks
Elixir nanoweb light acoustic
D'addario electric strings
W.O.S. bass strings (whatever's on sale)
Music gear i have but usually don't record with, asterisks mean "wanna buy it?"
