Muse's Muse Songwriting Message Board: SocaMos - Viewing Profile

Just an old hippy bassplayer trapped in a world not of my own design. I've been flogging tunes for a living since the 60's, but I've only been trying to write songs for the last 2 years (I've of course been writing music since forever). I'm an unwed father of a 21 year old son that I raised by myself since he was a year and a half old. He lives on his own now and I'm hoping writing songs will fill that void for me. I've noticed that whatever I write tends to be very preachy and hopefully hanging out with you folks a little will mitigate that some.

P.S. I don't really have a favorite style (loved and played most everything) but lately I've been studying Caribbean and African styles and rhythms so that tends to be how everything works out in my little studio. At least till something else catches my attention.
