Yes Yes
Sun shine upon my face
Soft breezes bathe my skin
Transporting me to places
That I've never been
Yes Yes
Let me feel the glow
of moonbeams in the night
illuminating pathways
Of everlasting light
Yes Yes
lets dance along the shore
with wings upon our feet
Stepping to the rhythm
as distant drummers beat
a primal longing call
that echoes in our heart
Reverberating splendor
Of which we all are part
Yes Yes
sun shine upon my face
Let me feel the glow
Lets dance along the shore
Yes Yes Yes
The last part of this poem is about the drum circle on Sundays
on the beach at sunset. Everyone takes part and dances or plays an instrument ..or
you can just watch. There are drums, flutes, etc. A beautiful happening.

That's very lovely Theresa.
The Rhythm of Life comes shinning through your metaphors on this one.
We had friends here from Germany last summer that wanted to see Siesta Key
but we never got there because we spent too much time at the Ringling Museum and
Selby Botanical Gardens.
But now you've given me a reason to visit on a Sunday evening.
It sounds very inviting to say the least.

I can relate so much to this Theresa. Beautifully written.
Drummers on the beach...must be amazing to take part in such a musical/spiritual collaboration in such a setting.

Am wistful myself too ... I've done a few sit-ins where several artists are doing whatever they want and just jamming. Sometimes at places like bluegrass festivals, or folk festivals, or fiddle conventions there are ample opportunities to join in with whoever. I've never had the chance to do it on a beach though ... oh yeah ... I've never had the chance to see the ocean ...

I just love the lines:
illuminating pathways
of everlasting light-
You know there's a song in here somewheres. Thanks for sharing..................peace!
