Hey guys... So I don't really make instrumentals - mainly because I've always found the computer programs way too complicated! Anyway, I've been forced to learn/use Logic for the past 5 or so months, and I just wanted to know what you guys thought of this song. I made it for my final project, due this Wednesday :)

And if you can help me think of a name for it, I'd be forever grateful! :P

Hi Ryan,
I agree with the computer programs being way too complicated as well.
Too many requirements for the left side of the brain which means not nearly enough for the right side. ;)

I guess that we (the masses) have to remember that these programs were mostly created for the likes of Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, etc.
We probably use 1/10 of 1 % of the capabilities of these software behemoths.

As for the song, there is definitely a classical aroma in there.
And lots of caffeine as well. ;)

I like the way you build this up.

Maybe you could title it Who Needs Coffee or Power to the Pupils .

Good luck, have fun and I hope you Ace the course. :)

Mystic meltdown? lol!!
I was envisioning darting little dust mote faery folk ....but then they pulled on their boots and did some serious stomping!
Good luck Ryan. I enjoyed it.

Just saw this Ryan...like the vibe...I think you have 2 separate instrumentals here. My co-writer and I have had about 10 placements now and are really getting a feel for what's wanted out there. I'd slow down the softer spots tempo and make inst #1, and leave the tempo of the fast part as is and make #2. My 2...

#1)Stonington
#2)Hammerdream

I love the way that you used an old classical approach to build up to a contemporary crescendo. It is like you effectively music theories of two different eras.
I think a good title for this would be "Temporal Weave" .

Nice one, my only hopefully constructive comment is that the instruments could do with having their own space in the mix. Panning and imaging come to mind in the sense of a piece of cake with all the segments in place.

Wow - I completely forgot about this song, and assumed it had fallen waaaaay down in the instrumental list! I definitely appreciate the critiques, guys! :)
