It's my first post so I just thought I'd get things kicked off with a nice poll to see what you guys like/want to know about writing songs. I love making songs myself..though I'm still getting better! I put how to put together a song in the poll. I can never seem to put everything together in a way that makes sense :S Hope to share some great conversations with you guys in the future!

Singer/Songwriter
Composer
Currently on the lookout for country lyrics in the style of Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown or any other crossover type artist. Not interested in traditional country.
Always on the lookout for great lyrics in general too :)

Welcome to the Muse.
I would have voted if there was a choice for how to connect with others by learning to connect with myself.
What interests me most about songwriting is that is allows me to create and communicate with others through music.
It also is much cheaper than seeing a Shrink.

I found the cocks. They're hiding in the bushes with a case of beer. Once they're drunk, us hens will look good to 'em.

I've been talking since I was barely out of infancy, and my lexicon is out there. Too much info.
Too many choices; have had to work to be simple, and not to over-describe or explain.
I keep a songwriting notebook, and write every stupid idea down, especially lyrics.
I remain an awkward lyricist, by my own estimation. Conversely, I can strum, and hum over, chords, all day long.
The struggle continues . . .
