All critiques welcome. I'll redo this one from scratch if necessary.

Ian,
I know you need constructive comments, but I cannot offer them.
Maybe you don't want to hear it, but your piano playing makes me cry, it is very beautiful.
And like those tracks you have done before this, it is wonderful, I'm listening for the third time
because I am so lucky to be able to. Play on my friend, I enjoyed all of it and was happy
to lose myself in it for a moment of my day.

Hi Ian,
As to the content, i thought it was a very emotional piece of music and played with the same passion.
I thought there were a few spots where it sounded as though the keyboard was miked too closely.
That isn't an acoustic piano you are playing?
Some notes had a little attack harshness to them.
The only other thing I might have thought about was the title of the song.
If it had been "Chance Encounter with an Old Love" i would have had the impression of an old love affair.
But when you say "old lover", the image or emphasis on the image switched to the word "old".
Maybe I'm just getting too sensitive to these things.
Other than that, it really is a lovely piece of music.
Well done.

Tammy - Thanks so much. That's a very kind thing to say. Really appreciated
Scotto - Thanks! I'm was just planning this as a solo piano piece. It's not recorded to a click track at all, so I'd have to redo it to add instruments... you never know though. Thanks much.
Danny - Thanks very much. I'm not particularly in love w/ the title of this... I may change it. The piano is this. Can't do much about those articulations. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
Thanks guys,
Ian
