We've all seen online "shootouts" this isn't one of them. What this will allow you to do is look up a specific piece of equipment, download files which consist of OH, Snare. EL GTR, AC GTR, Bass, Male LV, maybe a fem vocal, even full mix processing clips. You can load these into your DAW so that you can really learn what they sound like in your room, through your speaks.
Very cool, check it out.
You always wanted to hear what a Golden Age 73 MKII preamp sounds like? Listen right here in your own DAW. You'd like to hear what the original version sounds like? It is here as well. Wondering if a certain piece of gear will sound like in your music? Many, many Preamps, EQs, Compressors, Limiters, Reverbs etc...
Me, I really like dealing wth Mercenary Audio but, Zen Pro Audio does some things unique to its own camp. Great place to buy gear from. At least they, like Mercenary, only sell what they actually use themselves. My kinda guys!

Very cool indeed. Would be nice to work in some sort of side-by-side comparison...even just being able to load two sound files at the same time to compare a little easier, my ears aren't really picking up a lot of differences (though I'm listening on a laptop)

Currently on the lookout for country lyrics in the style of Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown or any other crossover type artist. Not interested in traditional country.
Always on the lookout for great lyrics in general too :)

Pull the files of whatever you'd like to compare side-by-side into you DAW, and use the mute buttons and Listen on the speakers you usually work on. Egads man! Comp speaks? Why even bother? The one thing I always know I am going to hear on comp speaks is, everything is going to sound horrendous...LOL...You've had another experience Funk?
Most of the known universe may very well listen on laptop speaks and earbuds but, this fact does not make them worthwhile to listen on while making citical choices...It makes 'em sound like they've just dropped smoking hot out of the rear end of my dog! Great! Exactly how they've always sounded! No differences huh? Sounds like dog dung-It IS dog dung...No difference? You're right! There is no difference to what anything sounds like through comp speaks! NONE. Comp speaks=TONE KILLERS...BRING THEM UP ON CHARGES!
Comp speaks should be illegal to listen to anything other than dialouge which only matters to the person who hears it. Music? On comp speaks? Not! Nothing serious anyway. This is how the ordinary listener listens, and you should as well BUT, dude BUT, you have to have higher standards...Listening is EVERTHING. If you do production of any sort whatsoever then, listening objectively is never just an option, it is a requirement.
"Digital? is that the thing where they take a good old sine wave and chop it into bits?"
