Aloha! Group: Super Moderators Posts: 2515 Joined: 4-April 03 From: Birmingham, UK Member No.: 10970	Last year we had 16 song competitions, 12 were Open Format and 4 were 1+1. ~~This year I going to reduce the overall number to 15 and shift the balance very slightly towards 1+1. So there will be 10 Open Formats and 5 1+1s.~~ I have now revised the schedule to 6 Open format comps and 5 1+1 comps The contests will be run for approximately seven days. We have already had the February Open Format Contest. Here is the proposed schedule for the rest of the year (open format unless stated): ~~Mar: 5 - 7 (enter) Mar 8 - 12 (scorecards)~~ -cancelled:not enough entries Mar (1+1): 26 - 28 (enter) Mar 29 – Apr 2 (scorecards)- see below for result Apr: 9 - 11 (enter) Apr 12 - 16 (scorecards) - see below for result May (1+1): 21 - 23 (enter) May 24 - 28 (scorecards) see below for result Jun: 11 - 13 (enter) Jun 14 - 18 (scorecards) see below for result Jul (1+1): 9 - 11 (enter) Jul 12 - 16 (scorecards) see below for result Aug: 6 - 8 (enter) Aug 9 - 13 (scorecards) see below for result Sep (1+1): 17 - 19 (enter) Sep 20 - 24 (scorecards) see below for result Oct: 8 - 10 (enter) Oct 11 - 15 (scorecards) see below for result November (1+1): 19 - 21 (enter) Nov 22 - 26 (scorecards)see below for result Dec: 10 - 12 (enter) Dec 13 - 17 (scorecards)see below for result note, all contests will be run from the Contests Forum The top two songs from each competition will be posted in this thread in preparation for their respective Year End Finals. All contests will now use the 1 to 5 scoring method. If there is a 3 way tie for first or a tie for second it will be broken by a count back. The song which received the highest score out of five or most occurrences there of will move on. If they are tied still it will then be broken by the next highest score or most occurrences there of. If by chance they still remain tied thru all the scores they will both go through to the final. The song that is entered into a Monthly Competition must be the same recording* with no changes made for the Final Competition. Someone may choose not have their song move on to the final competition if they wish. For the Open Format comps the 12 qualifying songs from the 6 contests will compete in the Opem Format year end final. For the 1+ comps the 10 qualifying songs from the 5 contests will compete in the 1+1 year end final. For more information on the contests, see the Song Contest Rules.
