CD Review:
Shahrzad Sepaniou is an eclectic mix of influences and styles. What gives this collection it's special quality is the impressive songwriting and production work by Giampiero Scuderi, and Shahrzad's own voice, which has a sweet, plangent, longing quality, especially on 'Farda', a standout track (a waltz, no less!). Also check out the kitschy 'C'est Facile D'etre Rich' (it's easy to be rich). A nice balance between easy-listening and nouveau-lounge. Hear it in the VIP room of IranAir. And take it home.
