CD Review: The cover of the album lets us imagine immediately that this will be an intriguing and classy music experience. Warm colors and nice picture of Fang-I Liu fill the cover of this 5 tracks Ep from this new American singer.

It doesn’t take long before you get comfortable with her voice and her songs. Her voice is classy, warm to the ears. Her talent is crystal clear, her voice is versatile and perfect for these songs. She can reach the higher notes and always remains warm and emotional. This is not something very common nowadays when vocal extension is very often privileged compared to emotional interpretation. She reminds me of Norah Jones and the early Sinead O’Connor.

Her music could be defined rock with a touch of jazz. Five modern contemporary ballads, five little intimate sotory sung with energy and elegance at the same time. Lyrics are definitely contemporary and talk about facts of life with a new, intimate point of view. Circle is the highlight of this cd, with its compelling rhythm and intriguing lyrics.

The production is of a very high level, all the songs are very well played in the acoustic style. Recording and mastering are also first class. Clear instrumentation accompany a brilliant and crystal voice.

A very beautiful Ep that leaves us wanting more and definitely waiting for her full album. I would suggest this cd to all the people that would love  take a little journey with an intriguing voice and maybe close their eyes and let the music take them somewhere else.
