CD Review: Mista Johnson, who was born and raised in the South Bronx, turned in this intelligent five song EP that is a welcomed departure from the ass-shaking, ass-grabbing, sex-starved, hip-hop tracks that saturate the market and airwaves.

His mature and unique perspectives (and best performances) are best captured on "Weedspots" and "Street Ministry," but it's the commercially viable, "See You," which is the standout on this project. While it borrows heavily from the r&b classic, "Free," by Deniece Williams, the sample becomes secondary to his powerful delivery and the lyrical content about a past love that has lost her way. It's well-produced, and would be instantly embraced by commercial radio. A future chart-climber.

Advice: You know what song to market. "See You" on the charts.
