Artist: Richard Abel Album: “Romance” CD Review:
OK people, no excuses. If you have ever wondered what music to play when you invite over that special romantic someone, here it is on a silver platter with rose petals and chocolate.
Richard Abel’s CD “Romance” is chock full of love songs, melodies and poetry to put you in the mood for love. And if that isn’t enough, Abel is French. French Canadian to be entirely precise but entirely French.
The music is piano based and enhanced with strings and voice. Carole Caza’s soprana is especially lovely. The melodies are timeless, from a romantic dream. Song selections include a variety of composers, including an original composition by Abel, “Romance”.
For you cynics who don’t believe in love, this CD is still a solid collection of lovely relaxing songs of beauty.
