Artist: John Franceschina Album: Music For the Theatre CD Review:
These live recordings of incidental music to plays are delights to have and to hold. VERY different from the usual Broadway stuff that comes in. These instrumentals are collected from various off-Broadway and regional shows, illustrating that the only thing 'Broadway' adds to the mix is an upped price. God, these are TUNEFUL. Over an hour of Pretty music (remember when music wasn't genre-oriented, but could be called Pretty?) for just twelve bucks. Doesn't seem possible anymore. Amazing.
