If I may... jp - if those songs would be able to be brought to another band in their raw form and played elsewhere - if they stand by themselves without all the fancy fills and riffs, then they're yours - but if you feel that what the others added really *makes* the song, then share the credit as you see fit. A great Nashville songwriter told me once that to get in the "door" in Nashville your demos must have a very specific "sound". For ex., the fiddle must be played a certain way, etc. Do you find this to be true? I also heard that you really have to be in Nashville and perform at the Bluebird etc? True? |

bjh, in the beginning it will be a matter of just finding someone willing to listen. If you feel you have song that fits a particular artist, then research to see what publishers have placed songs with that artist before and direct your efforts that way |
