By Gian F - 11/20/2006 - 07:15 PM EST

Artist: Patrick Hall
Album: "One For The Ages"
CD Review: Genre: Pop
Sounds Like: George Michael
Technical Grade: 10
Production/Musicianship Grade: 8
Commercial Value: 7
Overall Talent Level: 9
Songwriting Skills: 7
Performance Skill: 9
Best Songs: Single
Weakness: Hook not strong enough
CD Review: Singer/Songwriter/Musician and former American Idol contestant, Patrick Hall, submitted a single from his forthcoming debut CD that is sure to draw comparison to Sir Elton John with his contemporary blend of uptempo Pop, melodic Rock, and throaty vocals that provide a memorable soulful element that lingers. While the infectious groove is accented nicely by Patrick's proficient piano playing skills, the chorus doesn't affect you as much as his polished vocal performance which is aptly showcased by Nayan Lassiter of Anayalator Productions.

Advice: Be careful not to over sing; sing for the song - not for the critics. Define and shorten your choruses and you will be on your way to becoming a phenomenal songwriter.
