Album: A Road Well Traveled
CD Review: Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Joey Graziano lays down thirteen fine tracks on 'A Road Well Traveled'.
His style is very 80s-ish. His tone and guitar playing reminds me of the Dire Straits, Duran Duran era. It's very clean, not over-processed, and in most cases short and sweet (some songs are under two minutes here).

Graziano started playing guitar back in 1968, he is currently a Public High School teacher with his Masters in education. He has played and toured with over a dozen groups during his musical career. From the sound of his latest release, Joey is not ready to put his guitar on the shelf.

The album starts off with an instrumental that will catch the ear of any guitar virtuoso. No fancy overplaying, but rather tasteful solos grace the entire record. I rather liked the short instrumental 'Cookies' and 'Angel in waiting' and 'Lightly Cool'. His voice sounds a little like the Beach Boys, warm and friendly, the harmonies are great. Joey has total command of his tone and voice, something only time and experience can bring.

It is worth noting that Graziano plays all instruments on this album. All songs were written and arranged by Joey.
He also recorded this in his home studio, the Aries Project Studios. He is basically a one man show.

All songs are easy going, radio friendly tracks. The songs do not fit in todays modern radio garbage era unfortunately, but you can do yourself the favour of putting this one in your CD player for a while to come. Any retro radio shows should definitely pick this one up.

Joey's road is well worth travelling indeed.
