CD Review: Heather Lauren, one of the best singer/songwriters/performers that I have met in the San Francisco Bay Area, gave me a demo of songs from her forthcoming debut LP. The demo is comprised of 4 songs that aptly display her sublime songwriting skills.
While half of the songs on this demo are covers, the originals offer a glimpse of the greatness that's in store for music lovers who crave lyrical depth and organic musicianship, as evidenced in "Sense Of Me," a live recording about the self-discovery that we all go through. It's stimulating content for your head and heart. Her commercial radio gem, "Out Of The Pink Room," is a gripping ballad that would instantly appeal to Tori Amos fans and music supervisors alike. It eloquently showcases the subtle nuances and strength of Heather's emotive voice, which is as pure as freshly fallen snow and just as cool.
Advice: You need a full project to display the immensity of your talents. Make it happen!
