CD REVIEW: Tom Kafafian - "In Through the Outside"
By Stacey Board - 02/26/2005 - 04:46 PM EST

Artist: Tom Kafafian
CD Review: I admit when I have preformed opinions. I would expect a CD from a young cute solo male to be a certain derivative style of some current popular sound. For example, a huge Dave Matthews fan that wrote songs that sounded like the younger brother of Dave Matthews and all sounded relatively along those same lines.

Well I would be deeply mistaken assuming that about Tom Kafafian. For a young whippersnapper he certainly explores pop and rock with a vengeance. One minute he reminds me of The Smashing Pumpkins, the next it is Kiss and then he’ll throw me some ghost of the Replacements.

Kafafian has a lot of talent and all the time in the world to do with it what he will. He is definitely a talent to watch and “In Through The Outside” is definitely worth checking out.
