CD Review: If you were to blend the aggressive humor of Weird Al Yankovic with the playful personality of Blink 182, what would you get? Draw Tippy, the singer/songwriter/musician from New York city who proves that artists don't have to take their music so seriously in order to be engaging or entertaining. His 14 track CD courageously incorporates wit and quirkiness with a cheesy 80's production style that miraculously avoids sounding corny.

The songs "Without Me," and "15 Minutes Of Lame," aptly epitomize the jovial nature of the tracks on the project, but his shining moment comes on his best (and most commercial) song, "Decide," which captures the spirit, essence, and objective of Draw Tippy with the following lyrics:

"Well the words to this song are really dumb, it aint no Marvin Gaye, it aint no Macy Gray...and this jam won't be number one...it aint no Sugar Ray, it aint no Jars Of Clay..."

I would have to agree. But I also have to admit that I really liked it! He continues in the same song:

"I'm not trying to get on TRL, I'm tryin' to get somethin' better, and if everything is goin' well...I'll get to see what's in your sweater..."

And he may just succeed...in more in ways than one.

Advice: You are not the most talented artist, but what you do have - in abundance - is creativity and personality. Those are your strengths and your greatest selling points. Explore the areas of music licensing.
