Artist: David Smith
Album: Fastest Machine
CD Review: Label: Independent - Are You Listening?
Tracks: 10
Released: 2004
For Fans Of: Radiohead, Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel
Fav Tracks: Crush & Flow, Construct.

This is truly a fantastic CD and one of those great surprises I get from time to time.
All I had to do was pop it in, listen and go along for the ride.

From start to finish this is 35 minutes with none wasted.
Poignant lyrics. Really dig the voice.
Dreamy . . . Ethereal, yet very grounded and strong.
All 10 songs here are well-crafted and well delivered, leaving little room for criticism, unless you really don't like the style. But I do.

Everything from David's vocals to the delivery and simple subtlety of the lyrics & packaging makes this a very enjoyable set of tunes to get into. Every sound seems to be in the right place and never overplayed. And I have listened, several times, knowing from the start that it would be into the CD collection with this baby!

A man with a common name boasting an understated and uncommon talent.
Keep it coming David. I'm listening and hopefully soon others will be too.
There isn't much else to say, except . . . CHECK HIM OUT!
