CD REVIEW: Scott Celani – “Saturday”
By Stacey Board - 08/05/2004 - 01:58 PM EDT

Artist: Scott Celani
Album: “Saturday”
CD Review: It’s edgy. It’s pop. It’s rock. It’s good.

“Saturday” is full of pop melodies and intelligent use of dynamics. There is a bit of a Brit Pop influence in some of the melodic structures, but more of a rock approach to the arrangements of instruments and the overall energy of the songs. He starts out with the edgiest song and then like some people they mellow as you continue to the end.

My favorite song is the first track. It's strongest in energy and has lots of interesting touches in the arrangement.

Celani’s voice is smooth and agile and the band is 100 percent pro. The recording technique is also totally pro.
