CD Review:
Artists: Lovechilde-Jemiah-Kormelo Release Title: The Movement Web: www.protainment.com Rating: 4.5/6.0
Whose album is this anyway? Three artists, Lovechilde, Jemiah and Kormelo come together to bring us "The Movement". By combining their talents and experience which include writing, producing and musical training, they have put together a great release.
The Movement opens with "Unstoppable" which has a killer hook that's bound to get you. Following the lead track, are fifteen smooth, infectiously hip tracks. The songwriting is solid, the production and vocals follow suit. Just imagine Boyz to Men injected with a bit of R. Kelly and Maxi Priest. The Movement showcases the strengths of all three members and what a great showcase it is.
A mix of R & B, Hip Hop and Reggae with a bit of old school tossed in, the group has a sound all their own and it comes together seamlessly. My only suggestion would be to market the release as a compilation, rather than using all three artists names....after all, Lovechilde-Jemiah-Kormelo is quite a mouthful to holla.
