CD REVIEW: tj Rehmi – “The Warm Chill”
By Stacey Board - 02/20/2004 - 10:18 PM EST

Artist: tj Rehmi
Album: “The Warm Chill”
CD Review: This CD is like an incredibly great meal from any number of eastern cultures. The fabulous mix of hot and sweet, succulent and spicy. It's eastern instrumentation fused with groovy electronica. It's pretty dang irresistible and slightly hypnotic.

There are a few words interspersed here and there, but the music is mostly instrumental and atmospheric. His guitar work is excellent. Rehmi’s touch is also just right. He keeps the proper balance between the different elements he’s fusing. The CD is very intriguing to the ear from the first moment to the last.

If you are curious about what could result if Moby broke in and got his hands on some Ravi Shankar CD’s, then you will enjoy this CD immensely.
